I'm confused about whether I should read Truman's elementary books for get clearified with every topic in biology.I hope you understand what I mean to say.

I am answering your query from NEET point of view.

You must have seen the NEET 2020 biology questions. The majority of the questions were asked from the NCERT book itself. 85% questions come from NCERT only so if you are thorough with NCERT then only go ahead and read Trueman's biology. Sometimes, it is good for clarification of concepts and sometimes it may make you more confused, it actually depends on your perception. You have to seek your teacher's help in this case.

Trueman's elementary biology is a good book as everything is explained very deeply in it and it has a lot of additional information which might be helpful for the 4–5 questions in NEET that come out of NCERT. But its is very helpful for biology olympiads and if you have a passion for biological research. Read Trueman only if you have a time period of 2 years. And that too if you have completely understood everything given in NCERT. If you have only 1 year to prepare or only months left, it is not recommended following Trueman's as you cannot cover it completely.

Rather you can focus on Physics and Chemistry parts because bio is not always a limiting factor to determine your rank. No one can decide which is the Best book as the criteria for best is not defined. So, it is completely your choice!
