I'm resident of J&k, but by mistake I've filled general as my category in AILET. Is there any chance I can get into it under this category?

As per your question you wanna know whether you can change the details that you have filled, I would suggest you to first contact the authorities in-charged and if they are also don't provide you with an appropriate answer I would say that you can fill the form once again.
