In 2019-20 the cut-off of b arch came around 2000-3000 in NIT's but in 2020-21 why did it go down around 700-1300 !?! plz tell !

The cut off does not remain constant every year. It will change based on various factors such as total number of candidates appeared, highest score, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. There will be an increase or decrease in total number of candidates appeared in the exam in a particular year, the seat intake may vary, the highest score scored by a candidate in the exam will be different each year, the difficulty level varies so the cut off rank will also increase or decrease. The above mentions parameters influence the cut off every year. So there was decrease in the cut off for the academic year 2020-21 when compared to 2019-20 academic year. This year also the cut off may increase or decrease.
