Don't Miss: India's Best B.Tech Counsellors are coming to your city - Book Your Seat
Hello Pritha,
First off all let me get aware you about the Prepatory rank. It means that if some seats in the SC, ST, PWD category remains vacant after the counselling, then it will be alloted to the candidates of the respective categories as for admission to a prepatory course of one year. In this course you will prepared in IIT to get eligible for the exam that is conduted by the respective IIT college after one year. After that if you passed the exam then you are eligible to persue your b.tech degree from next session of your respective college.
As for your eligiblity criteria of giving for JEE Advance 2020 is that, first you have to clear the JEE Mains 2020,after that you are eligible for jee advance exam.
Or you should also go for both the things, that is first of all secure a seat in IIT in the prepatory course and also prepare for the JEE Mains and JEE Advance exams of year 2020. In this way even if you can't secure a seat through jee mains or advance then you will have a second option that is to qualify for prepatory exam, that upto as far i know it not very much hard to qualify and you will definetly get alloted in that.
Hope you find it relevent!
