Older ranks would not be changed, only new ranks be added on top for all extra students who have qualified.

Around 800 supernumerary seats created and total 11500 approximately seTs reserved for admission into IITs

This year as per extended list 31000 students have qualified and for general category cutoff now is 25% marks.

The older ranks should be the same. This is the list of more candidates qualified.
So the older ranks must be the same.
