in gauss sedal iteration method how many iterations we have to do in matrices.is it compulsory that two decimal places of last and before last iteration must be same?

Hello Aspirant,

In the Gauss Seidel method there is no fixed amount of iterations that we have to do. We have to continue the iterations till the value of the variables are same with the value of previous iteration's value of the variables or the value of absolute relative approximate errors<= pre specified tolerance.

If no pre specified tolerance is given then you have to continue till the last two,three or whatso ever decimal places you have assumed are same in the last two iteration.
