No. Most of the time NTA give chance to correct your category within an period of time. If you have applied some category in 1 attempt and you want to change your category in 2 attempt you can do it. It doesn't affect your category, when NTA release final jee rank card the category mentioned in that score card is your updated Category.

The JoSAA committee will check the validity of the caste certificate to ensure that it is not obtained by unfair means. If you have legally obtained the OBC certirficate, you shouldn't worry and can apply with it.
