in some we use oxygen value as 16 and in some as 8

Hi Aspirant,
There is a thin line of difference between atomic number and mass number like in Oxygen the atomic number is 8 and the mass number is 16.Atomic number indicates the number of protons in an atom while the mass number indicates the number of proton and nuetron.
