In the Mumbai University Pre-Admission Online Registration form Reservation section do I need to enter the caste/category written on my LC?

yes you need to specify the category under which you want to take admission. As the rank prepared by the university on the basis of which admission will be granted you will be considered under general category and your chances will decrease
