In UPSC examination B.A. Education honours is important or not important

UPSC is the only exam that asks for just a graduation degree with no minimum aggregate unlike other exams. You only need to be a graduate to apply for UPSC. So there isn't much to worry about if it is helpful or not. However, the specialization that you have would be helpful in personal interviews and exams. In that sense, you specialization would only help you in your way to UPSC.
See, the eligibility criteria for UPSC exam states that the candidate must have completed graduation in any subject discipline from a recognised university. So, the subject choice doesn't matter, be it science, commerce, art's or any other. If you have a graduation degree, you can apply for UPSC exam.
