In which field should i (a Mechanical Engineer) work to get experience if i have to do MBA.
Hi Vivek,
With your score, you can definitely get into IIMs. Apart from your academic scores, you need to focus on the following aspects-
1> CAT Score/Percentile
2> GD/PI or WAT performance
3> Extracurricular activities act like a cherry on the cake
So, keep your fingers crossed and prepare well for CAT exam.
Best wishes.

Hi Vivek,
Thanks for approaching us. You can just take up a job related to Mechanical Engineering as MBA programmes do not ask for any specific job profile when it comes to counting your experience. So, be rest assured to join any organization. Have you appeared for any of the management entrance examinations or planning to? That is yet another important step towards pursuing MBA.
CAT , MAT , XAT , CMAT are some of the popular exams. I am sure you have a good academic background. So with your scores and experience of at least 1-2 years will help you fetch a good MBA institution.
Hope it helps!
Best wishes.
