IMUCET (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test ) is a national level entrance exam conducted by Indian Maritime University for admission into Marine and nautical courses like :-
- B.TECH IN MARINE ENGINEERING
- B.TECH IN NAVAL ARCHITECTURE AND OCEAN ENGINEERING
- B.SC NAUTICAL SCIENCE
- DNS
- MBA
- M.TECH
Eligibility criteria :-
- B.TECH MARINE ENGINEERING :- Age requirement is 17 to 25 years , qualification needed 10+2 with 60% in PCM and 50% in English , medical fitness as per DG norms including 6/6 vision
- B.SC NAUTICAL SCIENCE :- same as above , requires physical fitness and medical standards as per IMU and DG shipping
- DIPLOMA IN NAUTICAL SCIENCE :- Requires 10+2 with PCM and 60% and 50% in english , B.SC with 60% in aggregate
- MBA/M.TECH :-Graduation with minimum 50-60% depending on course , appearing candidates can also apply
General Criteria :-
1.Only Indian nationals are eligible
2.Medical test must be conducted by DG shipping approved doctors
3.No backlogs allowed during admission
4.Passport is usually required for seafaring courses
