is AFMC admission based on SQ & AIQ??
All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER are filled by DGHS. Once NEET results have been declared, AFMC will release its cut offs and eligible Candidates have to register for the same. Shortlisted Candidates have to go through Psychometric Assessment Test, TOELR and Personal Interview. The final shortlisted Candidates have to undergo medical fitness test and then the final list is released. So just to answer your question, Admissions to AFMC are conducted at All India Level.
Admission in AFMC for all the seats is through all India quota through a merit list prepared by DGHSon the basis of neet scores , also counselling for AFMC MBBS admission is by Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), .
Also, After qualifying neet cut off of AFMC , you will have to give some additional examination to get admission in AFMC , that is
- Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic, and Reasoning which is called ToELR,
- Psychological Assessment Test i.e. PAT,
- Interview
After clearing these, finally you will have to go through your Medical Examination then finally you are selected for admission in AFMC.
And if you aim to get into afmc, you need to target around 650 marks in neet.
For example, last year in 2019 , 596 marks was required for boys and 610 marks in neet was required for girls to get into AFMC
Thankyou
