Radiology is the medical specialty that deals with this aspect by employing an array of advanced imaging technologies such as Computed Radiography, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine, Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to diagnose or treat diseases. Interventional radiology is the performance of minimally invasive medical procedures with the guidance of imaging technology.
The division of Radio Diagnosis, Imaging and Interventional Radiology consists of the latest equipment manned by qualified personnel and doctors and offers 24-hour elective and emergency services. This is the largest radiology department under one roof comprising of state-of –the-art imaging systems.
The department of Radio Diagnosis has been functioning in A J institute of Medical Sciences (MD/MS Admission) from the time of the hospital’s inception in 2002. We have 3 Professors and 2 Associate Professors who also are eligible PG teachers.
