Hello,
Birth certificate may have to be provided in the institute to verify your date of birth and birth place. If it is a requisite document that has to be provided during admission you need to provide it for the purpose of verification. Generally, class 10th certificate can be used as evidence to verify the date of birth as an alternative but if birth certificate has to be enclosed mandatorily in the requisite documents then you need to provide it.
