is bsc it equivalent to btech it
Hi Buddy,
Years ago both were considered almost same and even BTech used to known as BSc Engineering degree. But afterwards this was changed and it became a trend to award a degree called either as B. E., that is bachelor of engineering or B.Tech, that is bachelor of technology. The nomenclature of B.Tech as a degree was first started by the Indian institutes of technology. There is one big difference which is the duration of the degree. One is four years and one is three years.
Other than that I can't find any issues calling them equivalent. Our indian educational system gives a hype for BTech. But still both can be considered as equivalent degrees.
Thank you!
Hello Dear,
BSc engineering and B.E. and B. Tech, are all degrees of graduate level in Engineering and they are all equivalent in terms of graduation is concern but BTech (bachelor of technology) is a technical professional degree (engineering) which has good career prospects. So BTech is a better option as compared to the BSc course.
Good Luck
Hi Aspirant,
No it is not.Since the main difference lies in the duration of course like Bsc is a three year course while Btech is 4 years.Bsc courses are generally research related and doesnt make you industry ready.however B tech makes you industry ready and teaches you from the engineeering perspectives of knowledge.
Hope it helps!!
