In sarastra and nit pondicherry, if you chose CSE at nit , you will get NIT tag and good companies will come for recruitment. Even the sllybus is advanced. But at sastra you will not get advanced sllybus, good recruiters and tag of NIT.
So , go for NIT. Hope it helps you

Both are at par.
Both have their own advantages.
In terms of infrastructure and reputation nit is good but sastra is no less. It is becoming a very strong competitor. It is far better than most of the northern nits. Sastra has highly qualified faculties and jaw dropping placement records. Decent infrastructure all round improvement environment and great scope for ones interested in research.
Both are equally good.
But sastra is doing great and assures success.
