is caste certificate/ community certificate and minority certificate the same?

The caste certificate and community certificate both are same however in same states the caste certificate is referred as community certificate. It is one of the important certificate required for different purposes like admission in educational institutes, scholarship and jobs. The reserved categories such as Schedule Tribe, Schedule caste and Other Backward Class need to prove their community through this certificate to avail the benefits and it is issued by state government.
Compulsory documents required for caste/community certificate are-
1. Identity proof
- Driving License
- Aadhar card
- Passport
- Voter ID
- PAN Card
2. Address Proof
- Ration card
- Electricity Bill
- Water receipt
- Aadhar card
- Voter ID
- Telephone bill
- Driving License
- Rent receipt
3. Proof of caste of self or blood relative
4. Affidavit for caste certificate
You can apply for caste/community certificate through offline as well as online medium( right now online mode is available in some states only)
However, Minority certificate certificate is different from caste/community certificate.
Minority certificate is issued to 6 minority communities i.e . Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, Parsi, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and is issued by Ministry of Minority Affairs.
When a student is required to fill a self declaration form for the certificate process . He/she can download it from the govt link
