Is CDS examination for medical graduates ??
Hello dear ,
Yes definitely a medical graduate is eligible for cds exam. Infact anyone who hold a graduation degree is eligible for cds exam. But here the age factor should be kept it mind.
Age criteria for different academies is given below;
IMA - 19 to 24 years
OTA - 19 to 25 years
INA - 19 to 22 years
AFA - 19 to 23 years
But a medical graduate would only be eligible for IMA and OTA (men and women both). T he student who are not doing engineering can go only for Army . They are not eligible for Air force and Navy.

Hope it would have helped.
Dear Revati,
Yes, as a medical gradute you can apply for CDS, however, not for all courses. You are eligible for applying in Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA - Men) and Officers Training Academy (OTA - Women, Non-Technical) only through CDS. The eligibility for applying in these courses through CDS is any graduate from any stream. You can not apply for Indian Naval Academy (NA) and Air Force Academy (AFA), as only candidates with engineering degree and maths as a subject are eligible.
