Is chemical engineering good?
Hello Christol,
Chemical Engineering is a popular brach in engineering. If you complete your B. Tech degree from a reputed institute, say the IITs, NITs, IIITs, or CFTIs, you stand a good chance of landing a good job.
As to whether you should do Chemical Engineering should be a personal choice and what you want to achieve in the future. Also, please note that monetary benefits are not the only criteria when you choose a career. So, when you decide on a a particlar B.Tech course consider all the angles.
A note of caution : While the top engineering institutes in the country would provide you good placements and also research opportunities, there are other mid-range and low-level institutes that are not up to the mark. In fact, there are many institutes out there that have very poor placement record, with even those placed having to work at low salaries. So, picking the right institute is key.
Regards.
Choosing a branch totally depends on your interest. All the branches have good scope in the future for a right candidate.
