No, it is not mandatory to complete 10+2 in computer science to further opt for software engineer career. But, you must ensure successful completion of 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and Math with a minimum of 50 per cent of marks to further opt for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. You may read a career as Software Engineer to clear your doubts.

No it's not at all necessary to take computer science in class 12th and also you can so computer related courses even without taking computer science in 12th....There are many students present who doesn't take cse in 12th and they are doing btech with cse...so don't worry!
