College of Physicians & Surgeons (CPS) of Mumbai is an examining body for meritorious doctors of allopathy desirous to have PG medical qualification before rendering the medical services to the society.

Post Graduate Diploma in Gynecology and Obstetrics (DGO) is a postgraduate-level course in medicine. This program has been designed to prepare medical faculty in the obstetrics and gynecology specialty. It is one of the recognized post graduate by CPS Colleges. Till date 10 CPS Courses are recognized by Medical Council Of India 3 Diploma Courses DGO, DCH, DPB & 6 FCPS Courses FCPS (Medicine), FCPS (Pathology), FCPS (Surgery), FCPS (Dermatology), FCPS (Mid. And Gyn.), FCPS (Ophthalmology) & MCPS.

These physicians can get jobs in Government or private hospitals, clinics, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals run by defense etc. Those who have interest in teaching can work as Gynecology lecturers in medical schools or institutes.

I would like to inform you, that Medical council of India and Ministry of health and Family Welfare already have recognised the diploma courses including diploma in gynecologist and obstetrics college of physicians and surgeons or CPS colleges.
