Hello,

Digital health includes a plethora of healthcare amenities such as wearable gadgets, fit bands, body sensors, mobile healthcare applications, Artificial Intelligence, etc. This is leading to advancement in public healthcare with prescribing patient centric personalised medication, electronic patient health records, maintaining survey data, monitoring individual patients , providing tele- consultation and medication. Now a days, there is growing demand to save recurring medical costs by personal monitoring of health and wellness. These include storage, comparison and sharing of metrics associated with sleep, reproductive cycles, blood glucose levels, drug levels.
Digital health is very useful in screening of new diseases among the population, testing for the presence of the existing diseases in the population, identification of biomarkers for Research and Development by the scientists. The data collected from such digital health applications can be studied for further improvement in the healthcare systems. However, it is essential to use the collected data sensibly while maintaining proper privacy guidelines.
Thus, a career in digital health is going to be very bright and futuristic. It is becoming an umbrella term for many healthcare components, thus having lot of diversity. Both government and private sectors are collating and converting their present facilities to digital format so as to reach maximum people. Digital healthcare is also becoming very popular among the rural population thus, making it convenient for the people to avail some basic medical facilities at their door. So, one can definitely venture into digital heath as a career.
