Yes NEET prep helps you to strengthen the class 11 and 12 concepts. So you will be a master in concepts of class 12 it helps you to do well in your boards also.
It will not affect 12th boards but my suggestion is give importance to NEET than 12th boards because you need to compete with your competitors to get a MBBS seat.
You should plan wisely to balance boards and NEET. And don't take a drop because NEET exam is not tough everything is only based on NCERT. So practice well and get hold of the MCQ questions.
