Hello Candidate,
No.In joining IIT/NIT/IIIT through JEE you are not required to obtain domicile certificate, it is only NIT where admission is offered against Home State quota and it is not determined on the basis of the state to which you belong but on the basis of the state in which you appear your 12th board exam .

I have ews of odisha but have done 12th from Maharashtra so can I avail benefits of home state in nit rourkela.?

Hi..,
No domocile is not necessary for admissionin nit.,
There will be an optional for domocile with other certificates..
So, it's not necessary at the time of jossa counselling and the time of provisional allotment.

Your 12th class memo, that state where you complete 12th is considered as home state,
If you are from Delhi and study in Hyderabad and give TS board exams for class 12th, Then Telangana is considered as your home state, and you can get is quota in NIT WARANGAL.
