Economically weaker section ( EWS ) and Economically backward class ( EBC ) are synonyms terms in India. The eligibility to get EBC certificate is purely based on annual income and the limit has been set by the respective state government in which a person is domiciled.
hello abhiram, the EWS quote is of 10% which is specially for the unreserved category in JEE. as you have alreday mentioned EBC, it is not possible to avail the quota.
