Is EE in IIT Dhanbad a good option?

Hii, I would never recommend you to come here in this department.I belong to electrical department and beleive me it sucks here. The department doesnt have a alumni base,nor any recognization.Even some company that recruit from Jadavpur University doesnt come here for electrical guys.moreever the department doesnt have good faculty with industrial contacts and are also not supportive.they will push you from the very firat day to prepare for gate or you will have no option.

Even if you dont care much about academics or placememt and want to have a beautyful 4 years enjoying the campus life than also you are in illusion.the infrastructure is pathetic and even bad aompared to the new iits. The campus is very small,dirty,no proper canteen and no food court at all.the 2 small amul canteen in the livrary parking is called the food court of our college which really is a joke.and let me clear you that people who are saying that it has biggest library in asia,i wanna say to those dumb people even the 7 floor tall library is never fully functional only the 1–3 floor works and the 7th floor which is the study hall for your own books and which ia not also fully opened(not even half)

There is nothing in the campus toh chill,relax to eat or for anything and even if you want to go outside to eat or for movies the entry time is limited to 10pm. In short neither we have good academics or placement nor we enjoy the typical IIT campus.We are stuck here in the name of iit .recemtly we got a mandatory 90% attendance imposed on us failing which there will be semester back.

dont ruin your hard work for jee by choosing ism.The bitter truth is that it was never an IIT so it never had any infrastructure of IIT standard.Even VIT and SRM type private colleges look heaven compared to here. It is just like any state college converted into IIT for the sale of some political gain and nothing else. If you dont belive my word just visit any old IIT and then visit ISM before taking admission here and you yourself can see the bad n pathetic infrastructure here
