Is formal pant compulsory in medical colleges....is jeans not allowed???
Hi Joshua,
In Chengalpattu Medical College, the students are instructed not to wear any tight fitting dresses including Jeans or leggings.
Dr A Edwin Joe, Director of Medical Education said, " We have instructed medical colleges to follow only formal dress code in the classes. It’s an oral instruction; no circular has been issued though, “.
The professors of the college does not allow students to wear any type of informal dresses within the campus.
Hope thisb helps ..!!
Best of Luck Joshua..!
dear aspirant,
In most colleges the dress code is generally Kurthi tops (which aren't too short), with Patiala bottoms or even leggings ( depends) and a shawl (again depends on how strict the college is) along with a white coat/ apron , flip flops are often not allowed also For boys its usually formal shirts with formal pants and formal shoes and a coat/apronUsually the dress code relaxes as you ascend up in years. But definitely varies from one medical college to another.
hope it helped.
There is no specifcation as such with regards to the uniform in medical colleges. Every college has it's own set of rules and discipline culture. There is no compulsion of wearing formal pants but at times when a student has to attend some formal academic session, the college may ask the student to get dressed up i formal pants. But on regular basis there is no specification as such. You can ask your seniors for assistance in this matter once you get into the college.
All the best
