Himalayan Institute of Medical Science Dehradun is the first medical college to introduce doctoral level studies in Medical science. They have NABL accredited labs, it is NMC Approved Medical Education center for 19 medical colleges, with 1200-bed it is the largest super-specialty PG teaching hospital in Uttarakhand.
