Hello Aditya,
You are required to follow the following procedure :
1) After the results are announced you will be having two different mark sheets (one of 12th boards and one of improvement).
2) You are NOT allowed to include the 'best marks' from both the mark sheets while applying for DU . If you are allowing your improved score to enter into best of four calculation then you have to take all the scores from improvement marksheet only . If you've applied for improvement in less than 5 subjects (1/2/3/4) then the remaining scores will be entered from the previous marksheet .
3) And the best 4 subjects which are to be chosen at the time of admission in colleges will be taken from those 5 of which you've filled the details at the time of applying .
4) You need to carry your both the mark sheets every time wherever needed .
5) Roll no. and passing year would be your new one irrespective of no. of subjects you've appeared for improvement (if you're using your improved score otherwise the previous marksheet's info would be entered).
6) This time you need to collect two more documents - improvement mark sheet and a new character certificate (as it expires in 6 months) which could be issued by any Gazetted officer or the MLA of your area.
7) All other required documents will be of previous year which you've got from your respective schools .
8) Out of Delhi students need to provide migration certificate also .
9) Make sure that you have the proof of what you were doing in the last one year.
10) If you are currently enrolled with any other University in undergraduate course, get it cancelled the very next day you take admission in DU as it is considered as an offense to carry on more than one undergraduate course at one point of time.
P.S. - Carry all the documents you have (to avoid any discrepancy) during the whole admission procedure.
Don't get feared from anyone/anything coming in your way (if you're not doing anything illegal), it could be a bit complicated but every problem has a solution.
I can not guarantee you that every year DU will take improvement students , it has full rights to change the policies of admission . But yes , if there is no notifications issued by the University regarding improvement then we can assume that it will take .
All the best !
Thank you!!
