Is IMU CET is necessary for GME??
Hello Laksmanan,
No, it is not. You can directly apply for the institutions which commend this course. For example, AEMA- Anglo Eastern Maritime Academy, is one of the colleges which provides the course of GME. You need to apply online on their official website and book a date for your written exams. If you clear the written exam, you will be called for an interview.
Clearing the interview, you can join the course in the respective institution.
The written exams are held by the company in order to provide you a sponsorship. Because you get a job after completing the GME course is a bit tough, so getting a sponsorship makes sure that you are going to be placed by that respective company.
There are other institutions which you can look for to complete your GME course. Some of them are -
- Great Eastern Shipping Company Training Institute
- Samudra Institute of Maritime Studies
- Vishwakarma Maritime Institute
IMUCET becomes compulsory when you are 12th pass out and want to apply for B.Sc., B.Tech., or DNS.
Good luck!
