is income certificate mandatory for category basis
Hii
It depends upon basis of category. Suppose, you have category in SC/ST, then you need not to mention on income of your family. You will get benifits/ reservations based on your caste only.
If you belong to OBC-then you can get CL or NCL. If your family have earning above 8L ,then you will be termed OBC-Creamy Layer. In that case you won't get reservations. If your family earning is less than 8L, the You will OBC-NCL. In that you can get all the benifits of reservations. Similarly for general category on the basis of income you can get EWS reservations.
Hope it helps
hello aspirant!
Hope you are doing well!
If you are a general category student, aiming for EWS reservation, then yes producing income certificate is mandatory.
Income certificate would be required in certain situation,- scholarship/free concession in college and submission of income certificate can also be asked and Try to get one soon if you dont have it.
if you are a general category student studying in Rural area, and your parents income is less than 2 lacs, then in order to claim the benefit of Rural reservation, you would have to produce the income certificate.
