is information technology and information science engg both are same ?

Hello,
There is a very slight difference between both. Information Science has more analytical, mathematics part whereas, Information Technology deals with the traditional software development. However, I would suggest, before applying for any of the course, do refer to the college website and what all they cover under that particular stream. Because many time Universities or institutes interchange the credit according to them.
