Is it advisable to join coaching classes for CMAT preparation or not? I have time of about one year for prapation. Best CMAT Ref. Books ?

Thanks for approaching us. Opting for an external assistance should completely be your discretion. Much depends on your capabilities, motivation, and determination. If you join coaching classes, they will handhold you through the preparation. On the other hand, if you prepare for yourself, you have the freedom to choose your preparation strategy.

If you ask me, I would suggest you start your preparation, feel the need and then decide. As you said, you have 12 months in hand, I find no good reason to start coaching sessions right away. Take your time, go for self-study and analyse your strengths and weaknesses; then take the final call!

It is possible to prepare without coaching assistance, however, you can enrol for the test series from any reputed training institute. They will help analyse your tests (mocks) so that you know where you stand.
