is it better to choose ECE OR MECH ???

I will suggest you to first findout your intrest then decide for it. In terms of job condition, in ECE- you will get job mostly in IT sector, it will be very tough to get in electronics sector. You have to work 10+ hours and have no job security, but the pay will be high. In mechanical you will find job in manufacturing sector. Your pay will be lower as compared to them but will have secure job with lower working hours.

Research opportunities to both of them are high, but you will find low scope for ECE in PSUs.

But above all chose intrest over all parameters.
