Hello,
It's only necessary if you have scored less than 75% marks in your 12th class, as you can give your jee exam with marks less than 75% but if you will qualify the exam and will look for admissions in any nit or iit college, you will not get admission there, as the minimum eligibility criteria to get admission after qualifying jee exam is that the candidate must have 75% marks in their 12th standard.
