No, it is not necessary/compulsory for anyone to appear for all the sessions of JEE MAINS. It is completely your choice. But I personally advise you to appear for all the sessions so that there is a scope for improvement for you. Ranks also vary due to this factor. Don't stress on this much, just give the exam.
