yes definetly you have to minimum get qualified in the paper 1 to get qualified in BARCH so if you dont get qualified in paper 1 you will be not getiing qualified in Barch exam so it is mandetory to get qualified in paper 1 so hope that you will get qualified in both the exams and all the best for your future

The results of both the papers are independent of each other , so it is not necessary to pass JEE paper1 to get admission for B.Arch.

If you want to pursue B.Arch then, you will require clearing JEE Main Paper 2 to appear in JEE Advanced Paper 2 Exam.
