If you want to take admissions in NITs/IITs/IIITs or GFTIs then 75% marks in 12th or to be in top 20 percentile is compulsory .....
But it is not necessary to score 75% if you want to take admission in private engineering colleges....

In order to take admission in NITs/IIITs and GFTIs you should have 75% marks in your board exam or you should be in top 20 percentile.
You can appear for JEE Main if you have not secure 75% marks in your boards exam to take admission in private colleges.

As per current year information, candidates will have to fulfil any of the one criteria mentioned below -
Student should be there in top 20 percentile or he/she will have to get 75% in boards.
