Is it necessary to take pcm for IFS
HELLO NIRUPAMA.
GOOD MORNING
BY IFS you mean INDIAN FOREST SERVICES :
The educational qualification would be :
The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry, and Engineering.
Candidates who appear at their degree examination with prescribed subjects can also vie for a position. You must clear the written part of the examination and must submit proof of passing the examination together with an application.
So, it is quite a bit neccessary for you to take PCM and then graduate with one of the above mentioned subjects.
BUT IT IS NOT NECCESSARY TO TAKE PCM ONLY.All you need to care about is that in the graduation level you need to graduate with any one of above subjects.
If you meant IFS-INDIAN FOREIGN SERVICE-
THEN ALSO IT ISNT NECCESSARY TO TAKE PCM.
You need to have a degree from any stream in any college recognised by GOVERNMENT OF INDIA.
thank you and all the very best
