Is it ok to go for BCA. Many of my relatives advised me that there is no scope on BCA. Can someone help me regarding this?
I would say listen to your heart because if you have keen interest to pursue BCA course then you should go for it because if you talk about the scope then it is decent because candidates with BCA can find job in private (MNCs) and Govt sector like Armed Forces, Nationalized Banks, PSUs. Also, students with BCA degree may also become self employed, by becoming freelance or independent software developers, software security experts, consultants etcso if you have potential and if you are talented then you my get job easily.
Also, the duration of this course is 3 years and if you go for MCA then it will also take 3 years in completion and DU does not offer BCA course as you can check the complete course list below -
As BCA is not there in DU then you can try for Christ University, Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Graphic Era University, Dehradun etc. because these are also good.

Note : In case you are interested in Govt colleges then there is no national level test for BCA so you can try for state and university level entrances but for MCA, NIMCET entrance test is there for NITs so after completing BCA from decent college you can apply for NIMCET but beore you make any decision kindly consider your interest and potential.
