Hi Vijay,
The National Institute of Technology is a very prestigious institute. The NITs take admissions only through the candidates' JEE-Mains scores. Although there is a bit of cutoff relaxation for reserved category students, you still need to prepare well for it as there is quite a bit of competition for JEE-Mains.
