Is it so that professional course students get more preference in tier 1 mba colleges than a student having only bcom degree
Hello,
Not necessarily. Tier-1 MBA colleges do not give automatic preference to professional course students over B.Com graduates. Admission is based on multiple factors such as:
-
Entrance exam score (CAT, XAT, etc.)
-
Academic performance
-
Work experience
-
Diversity profile
-
Performance in GD/PI rounds
In fact, many top MBA colleges have a large number of students from B.Com backgrounds . A strong CAT score, good academics, and relevant extracurriculars or work experience can make a B.Com graduate equally competitive.
Could you please mention the MBA colleges you are targeting (IIMs, FMS, XLRI, etc.)? The selection criteria can vary slightly across institutes.
Hope it helps.
