is it that much hard to get 80 percent in btech?

Yes, To be frank It is a quiet difficult to score 80 percentage in BTech. But it is not for all the Branches. It depends on the type of branch that you are in to.

The main logic is trying to Apply the logics and formulas where it is needed and having a brief knowledge if the topics and units that you are studying in each semester and have to present the paper well during the final exams(ie, giving a good presentation) is all what you require for getting a good percentage. If you follow them you can definitely get a good percentage.
