Is it tough to get iit even after clearing the cut off in decent branch??

I will give you an example of how a question of jee advance want to trick you :

Think that you are giving one of the world's toughest exams and answering any question wrong would decrease your marks.

More than one option may be correct.

Q. What is 2 + 2 ?

A) 3.999...

B) 0.004  10

C) None of A and B

D) Not enough information

Now you know that C is the answer but since more than one answer may be correct and they just cannot ask such an easy question.(This is just an example otherwise they are not going to ask such an easy question.)

You can answer from they following {A, B}, {A}, {B}, {C}, {D} or you can leave this question unanswered.

Most people just gets tricked into this. Jee requires reasoning and common sense with the subject knowledge. Paper setters spend way more time to trick you somehow to answer it wrong. This is why it is so tough.

P.s. Jee mains is way easier and most times Jee advance toppers are not jee mains toppers. This is because advance toppers have more logical reasoning.
The problem is no. of students qualify jee advanced is more than no. of seats available....

Well, it can be said that its difficult but the score you will score and the cutoff score that your marks will tally with will be the branch that will be provided to you and it just simple as that.There is nothing different about the procedure.
