Is it true that once you opt for defence quota you can not get admission on general merit

Hi Seejal,
Yes, once a student has mentioned in the application form about any kind of quota as in your case defence quota thereafter one can not get admission based on the general merit list unless there are vacancies in the general seats which eventually gets converted to reserve seats and other wise.
