Aerospace field is a upcoming sector in India. Among the pool of aerospace engineering colleges , IITs are comparatively better in terms of experienced faculties and amole amount of facilities. Also few private institutes like SRM, Amrita also have their own entrance exam. Even , i got admitted in Btech aerospace engineering fours years back through entrance exam . So In order to get admission you need to apply for JEE or other enter exams. There are very few institutes which accept you through interview and board exam results based on your score. Incase you did not applied for JEE mains, there is still opportunities exists for you. Do apply for private colleges through entrance exams, it will be quite easy compared to JEE.
No nit is offering b. Tech in aerospace.

There are also some deemed universities like vit,srm etc., which are providing ug in aerospace.
So you gmhave to get a good score in jee advanced.
