No it is not required to give complusory jee main for NATA
as you wish you can give or may not if you give jee main it is helpful for NATA examination as both are different competitive exams related to architecture.

If you are asking whether JEE mains is compulsory for all students passing class 12th then ofcourse not. It's all upto you whether you want to become an engineer or not. Many student go for BSC in Delhi University and other University also many students changes there stream to arts and commerce. So it's all upto you whether you want to take JEE mains or not.
