Is joining and reporting same at NITs?? Or when to go and join in NIT after 7th round( i.e.,classes starts from when.......)??
dear aspirant,
No the terms joining and reporting in JOSAA are different from each other.Candidates who have accepted seats allotted in the previous round at IITs/ISM/NITs/Other-GFTIs and wish to continue with the seat need not report at the reporting centre (RC).All the candidates who are finally allotted a seat in an institute of any NIT/IIIT/Other GFTIs should report their allotted institute between the dates mentioned in the official website and this process is followed by joining to the seat alloted . the dates will be available in respective websites.
hope it helped.
Hello Sanjeev, No joining and reporting arent the same. Once you accept the seat offered by JOSAA, you have to visit the College (NIT) on the day of counselling and confirm your admission by submitting documents and fees. After that you can join classes from whenever they start as per the college curriculum, which will be provided to you after the admission is done.
Normally classes in most NITs begin in late July to August, but not later than that.
