Is KAS exam conducted every year?

KAS is Kerala Administrative Services exam for eligible graduates who can start working for State Government Administrative services under various positions at Junior Scale. What makes it lucrative is that it takes approximately 8 years for a KAS recruitee to move towards becoming an IAS officer. Now as this is for State Administration, the exam will be conducted whenever there are vacant positions due to various reasons. It cannot be a guarantee that KAS will be held every year.

Generally, the KPSC KAS examination is conducted every year .But from some few years, it has  not been conducted frequently . As of now , KPSC KAS 2017-18 prelims is going to take place on 17th of May, 2020.

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) conducts the Gazetted Probationers exam for recruiting Grade A and B officers in the Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS).

Usually, the KPSC KAS exam is conducted every year but since the last few years, it has been conducted less frequently. The first ever Kerala Administrative Service or KAS exam was held on February 22, 2020.
